When the going gets tough.. - Life Lessons I Would Give To My Kids No. 10

  • All the good you've done goes unnoticed.
  • You feel like the biggest fool in the world.
  • If you're like me, you can't sleep at night.
  • You don't get the answers you expect.
  • It gets even tougher.
  • Crying doesn't help.
Solution:
  • Be strong - somehow.
  • Crying never helps.
  • It's ok to seek help in your loved ones as long as they don't get annoyed.
  • Strong belief. Trust God to make everything ok not human beings.

Best Friends - Life Lessons I Would Give To My Kids No. 8

Best friends:
When you want to sell some stuff just to take them to your wedding.
When you know they won't be there where you're moving so you're kind of scared.
When he offers you to help your family out for your walima preparations when you won't be here.
Two guys whom you can blindly trust with anything.
Two guys you miss hanging out with every freaking day coz you know the clock is ticking.
Guys who just mean a lot to you.
For Feroze and Fahad. My best friends.
Find some like these.

On Risking It All - Life Lessons I Would Give To My Kids No. 5

Never put everything on the line - unless the line belongs to you or it's how you want it.
This way, you'll be a winner, even if you lose it all. You'll either gain a lot or you'll learn something that will help you gain even more later. All you need to be able to pull it off is a strong faith in God, your supporters and yourself and a stubborn mind to not wander off your path. It's very easy to do so and lots of people and circumstances will force you to do so.
Whether it's business, career, relationships or any struggle, make sure it's for the right purpose and not a wrong one.
Keep all this in mind and you'll go the distance.
True story.

When you feel lonely - Life Lessons I Would Give To My Kids No. 3

Sometimes you'll feel stuck in life without anyone to enjoy with or a shoulder to cry on, not that such a time should come - crying does no good.
Still, if you feel lonely, find a hobby, watch a movie, go out or something. Or hang out with your best friends. Just never be dependent on any one of these only because that would mean, sooner or later, you will be lonely. None of these is forever.
Loneliness can both be a blessing and a curse. Just make the best of what you have when you're alone.
P.S. you could always get a cat.

How to lose weight - Life Lessons I Would Give To My Kids No. 2

This is a tough one. I'm going through this myself. Either you can starve yourself to death or exercise and become smarter in the process. Or you can do yoga ONLY if you'll be accompanied by a pretty girl which better be your fiancée or wife. For girls, its fine anyways.
Men normally don't do yoga coz it might make them feel less manly specially with the type of guys doing yoga on TV these days. You probably won't have TV at that time and will only watch YouTube 2.0 so you won't have to see those weirdos.
But, why would you get fat in the first place? Don't stop playing sports! And that Kinect I get you better not be biting dust like Usman and Pinky. For the love of God, Team Fortress 2 is NOT the only game in the world.
So, here's a secret: if you somehow get a little fat I will tell you to not worry so you'll have to consult your mother. But if you get too fat, stop eating junk food, being lazy or blogging all day. You'll be fine.
Piece of cake eh? Well, time to eat Shwarmas during my diet routine. Good luck!

Stay Strong - Life Lessons I Would Give To My Kids No. 1

I've been inspired by HIMYM and since I love writing, I thought, why not give a shot to write satirically in such a style. Of course, there's no comparison between me or any of the shows characters, this should be interesting.
First lesson I would give is to always be strong no matter what the situation. Even if you have your finger stuck in a door, you fall and bleed or do some other thing that hurts which you would as a kid - stay strong. The moment you panic is when you lose control of your common sense. It's the most cowardly sense. If it's a medical issue, instead of crying you would want to get some first aid. If it's a money problem, come to me. If it's a girl issue, dude, you're too young for this. Might give you tips when your age is right.
Even if you're cornered in a fight and alone without any friends, remember this, a friend wouldn't do what I would for you.
Remember, life might be easy or it might be tough when you read this. It's the toughest ones who stand the longest in life. They go trough all the obstacles no matter how difficult they are. They also remember God a lot because in the end, it is God that makes things happen. Even when I'm not there or your mother, God will be.
So be sensible, always remember God and stay strong.*
*but when I'm angry at you, consult your mother.
